‘Our wonderful family business\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

I am living my dream in our wonderful family business which was established by my grandfather, Jan van Veen, in 1955. I started in production in both factories at a young age and since January 1, 2026, I have taken on the role of Managing Director (CEO). In doing so, I have officially taken over the baton from my father John, who was responsible for the growth of the family business, which has now been active for more than 70 years. Due to on ground experience I know the issues at play. Together with Erik, my business partner since 2022, we form a good team and we complement each other perfectly as we continue building the future of the company. Our mission guides our work. It is to offer customer-specific total solutions in the food industry from a committed and transparent organisation that puts its colleagues first.<\/p>\n

For me, doing everything we can for our customers and staff is the perfect challenge. ‘My life’s work’<\/h2>\n

I started my career at what is now called DKB BV in 1980 and this would later turn out to be my life\u2019s work. My father-in-law, Jan van Veen, had already worked on his life\u2019s work for 30 years which was to make breadcrumbs from leftover bread. At the age of 22, my wife Arna and I received our first share in the company. Over the years it has grown into a real family business. As parents ourselves, we are proud and grateful that we have a successor in our son Bjorn. He officially became a joint owner in 2020 when he too was 22 years old. To make sure that we can eventually hand over everything we found the perfect partner in Erik van den Brink. Our company rests on very strong foundations. I have complete faith that our mission of \u2018putting the customer first\u2019 and being there for our staff will be in safe hands. We are confidently building a future of growth, happiness and health!<\/p>\n
